This came about because of the incredible interest and participation in the Reebok Spartan Races. I applied to become the Race Director for my western North Carolina area and to this day I have not heard one word from them!

So I have decided to use my relationship with my USA Made New Balance to pitch them on the Highlander Challenge. It will not be a series of races around the country but only ONE here in western North Carolina mountains in the Highlands, NC area. Also it will make a Spartan Race look like a WIMP event!

So when you can not climb over a hill then you tunnel through as the late Dr. Robert Schuller said!
